When will Airtel 5G be available in India?
Gopal Vittal, CEO of Airtel, recently confirmed that the telecom operator would launch 5G services in August. The company announced that it will begin deploying a 5G network in India by the end of this month in collaboration with major technology companies such as Samsung, Nokia, and Ericsson. Reliance Jio’s Chairman, Akash Ambani, recently stated that the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” will be celebrated with the nationwide rollout of 5G. While Jio did not launch it on August 15, it is expected to happen soon, given the telecom giant’s claims.

The companies are expected to begin testing 5G in a few cities first. According to reports, the Prime Minister will officially launch the 5G network on September 29 during the India Mobile Congress (IMC).

Airtel 5G prices are expected to be comparable to 4G prepaid plans.
