TV college football week 1 ATS Selection and predicts

College football action spans five days beginning on Thursday night.

We look at the point spreads for the games against Oregon State at home against Boise State and Penn State travelling to Purdue.

Since these odds increased months ago, the point spreads have become more narrow. Here are our top ATS picks for the non-AP Top 25 televised games this weekend.

Georgia's biggest SEC East rival is Tennessee, and the Volunteers will begin play with a victory against Ball State. Ball State's offence is ranked 115th and its defence 117th out of 130 FBS institutions by PFF.

Indiana-Penn State (8 p.m., FOX) When David Bell and George Karlaftis were absent from the Music City Bowl victory over Tennessee, Purdue defeated the Volunteers 48-45.

The Tigers' offence, even though it might take some time to get going, has the potential to defeat a weak Louisiana Tech defence by three touchdowns or more now that Brady Cook has taken over at quarterback in lieu of Connor Bazelak.

Kirk Ciarrocca's return as the offensive coordinator for Minnesota excite Tanner Morgan.

The year Morgan spent with Ciarrocca in which he was honoured to the second team All-Big Ten was his greatest.
