RB Brian Robinson of the Washington Commanders has been hospitalised

After receiving multiple gunshot wounds, RB Brian Robinson of the Washington Commanders was brought to the hospital.

The Washington Commanders' rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. was shot many times in the lower body during an attempted robbery in Washington, D.C.

A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that his condition is stable and that he remained in the hospital on Sunday.

The source, who spoke anonymously because the team had not made any statements regarding the incident, believes that Robinson's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police were called to the busy eatery before six o'clock local time, according to Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Dustin Sternbeck.

According to Sternbeck, the lone victim was transported to a nearby hospital with two lower extremity gunshot wounds. A firearm was discovered nearby by police.

Sternbeck added that when they arrived, the suspects had already departed the area. They believe the victim was the intended victim of an attempted armed robbery.
