Quit believing these false health myths.

The flu shot is effective. According to Amesh A. Adalja, MD, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, the average effectiveness of the flu shot is 60%.

The NIH believes that cranberry products cannot treat UTIs, despite the long-standing association between cranberry juice and UTIs.

Cranberry juice, extract, or tablets' ability to prevent UTIs isn't well supported, according to NIH.

According to the CDC, flu season starts in October and may last until May. The flu season lasts all year. Although less frequent in the summer, Dr. Adalja feels it is still conceivable.

Hot water is required for handwashing. According to Dr. Adalja, soap and the way you rub are more significant factors than water temperature. Avoid burning your hands when cleaning them.

An STI causes symptoms. STIs frequently have no symptoms. Dr. Wider thinks that some people may be unaware of their own. STI testing and protected sex are essential.

Co-director of the Women's Center for Cardiovascular Health Jennifer Haythe, MD, concurs. She continues, "It kills more men and women in the US than all malignancies put together."
