Johnson wins the LIV Golf Boston Championship

The LIV Golf Invitational Boston was won by Dustin Johnson, who used a huge eagle putt at the first playoff hole to upset a number of rookies on the breakaway circuit.

Before Johnson won in a three-way playoff, Joaquin Niemann of Chile, Anirban Lahiri of India, and both of them made their professional debuts in the divisive Saudi-sponsored series.

All three players at International Golf Club finished the 54 holes with scores of 15 under par.

In his LIV Golf debut, world number two and defending British Open champion Cameron Smith finished one shot behind Lee Westwood of England and tied for fourth place.

Westwood missed the playoff after bogeying his final hole despite entering the competition with an eight-under par 62.
