Ryan Griffin, the backup quarterback who was with Tom Brady when he partied hard at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Super Bowl victory boat parade following their triumph in Super Bowl LV.
Griffin, along with defensive lineman Benning Potoa'e, linebacker Genard Avery, safety Nolan Turner, and kicker Jose Borregales, was eliminated.
Brady hasn't been in Tampa Bay as long as the Tulane product has. Following the 2013 NFL Draft, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints.
However, he was taken off waivers by the Buccaneers in 2015 and saw limited action. The Buccaneers waived him for the first time in 2021.
But the next day, he was recruited back to the practise squad and eventually returned in 2022. It's possible that this time will be different.
Given how well-versed in the scheme Griffin is, it seems like Tampa will stick with Kyle Trask and Blaine Gabbert as their backups.
